Frequently Asked Questions
I am new to disc golf. Should I be worried about being able to throw the Ace Race prototype disc?
No, in fact just the opposite. Ace Race discs are created specifically for this event, and are suitable for all skill levels to throw. And remember that the event is about fun, not competing against players with more experience. Every player's chances are virtually equal.
Do I need to be a PDGA member to compete at an Ace Race?
PDGA membership is not required. Anyone can participate, and anyone can win! Ace Race is about fun, not competition.
Will my Ace Race discs be legal to throw in a PDGA tournament?
Probably not right away, but eventually, probably. The Ace Race disc is designed to conform to PDGA specifications, and when that organization approves it, we will spread the word.
I want to bring my family to the local Ace Race. Will there be separate divisions for my wife and kids?
The White Spruce Ace Race does have separate divisions. In the past we have had a Women's, Novice and a Youth division, with additional prizing.
I am interested in being a sponsor or making a donation.
Please contact the tournament director about opportunities for the local event.
The Ace Race entry fee in Canada is more than the entry fee stated on the discgolfacerace.com website.
Yes, it is. Discraft allows Ace Races being run outside of the United States to increase the entry fee as there are additional costs incurred. ie increased shipping costs and duty charges. Please keep in mind you are getting two discs plus what ever else comes with the players package for your entry fee, plus an additional players package and that all proceeds go to charity.
